Not interested, boring website

Have you ever entered a website, but felt a strong urge to exit it? If no, great! If yes….keep reading.
To create a good website, one must consider many factors such as ease of use, captivating content, being clear and concise, accessible information and, most importantly, a good web design. A good web design should engage users and keep them absorbed in the website’s content, but that is not all. A good web design should be:
1. Visually appealing
2. Simple
3. Easy to navigate
4. Mobile friendly
5. Organized
6. Low load time

Do you consider your website to be well-designed?

Visually appealing

A website should be aesthetically pleasing to look at, meaning the font size should be easily read and the type should match the website’s design and not exceed more than 3 fonts. The color of the website should also not be too bright or too dark, the colors should complement each other well and not clash. A pretty website will keep a user engaged. The same could be said about the format of the images, illustrations, and videos on the website. Too many graphics can be overwhelming, and too few can be boring, so a balance of both is necessary. They must also represent the brand’s personality very well, this is what the user will see when entering the website.

Simple

Simplicity is key. A simple website does not include too much of everything. The information about a business should not exceed 500 words, users will not have the time and attention span to read an essay-long page. Adding graphics is important, but as stated above, not too many and not too few.

Easy to Navigate

A website that is easy to navigate is one in which pages such as the “About us” and “Contact us” pages are easy to find and do not require too much effort. One thing we would not want to do is puzzle users and push them away from our website.

Mobile Friendly

When creating a website, one must remember that not everyone will be viewing it from their desktops. A web designer should always keep in mind how the website will be viewed on mobile devices or any screen size as well, as it may require some changes.

Organized

An organized website contains separate boxes or grids to not jumble up information, leaving the user confused. This method allows all the information to be separate and organized. Having grids/boxes is also important, as our goal is to engage users visually.

Low Load Time

Many of us have exited a website because of how long it took to open, we can’t help it! This is why designing a website with a low load time is essential to prevent users from leaving the website out of frustration.

To conclude this blog; please, if you want satisfied web visitors, make sure you have checked the boxes above!
